Quality identification
(1) Choice of type. At present, the main products sold in the market are chemical fiber socks (nylon, card silk, thin elastic, etc.), cotton socks and blends, interwoven, wool, and real silk socks. According to the season and the nature of the feet, usually choose nylon socks and towel socks in winter; sweaty feet, cracked feet, choose cotton or blended, interlaced socks; in summer, wear stretch card stockings, real stockings, etc.; spring and autumn should wear thin elastic, mesh socks, etc. Women's skirts should wear stockings.
(2) The choice of size. The size specification of socks is based on the size of the bottom of the socks (referring to the part from the heel to the toe of the socks) as the standard. The general size is indicated on the trademark. It is better to choose an equal or slightly larger size according to the length of the foot, not a smaller one.
(3) The choice of quality.
1. The choice of grade: According to the internal quality and appearance quality, socks are divided into first-class, second-class, third-class (all qualified products) and foreign-class products. Generally, first-class products are used, and second- and third-class products can also be used when the requirements are not high.
2. Selection of key parts:
I) The selected socks and sock heels should be large and bag-shaped, as close as possible to the shape of a person's foot. The size of the heel of the sock will cause the sock tube to sag after wearing and the sock heel slips to the bottom of the sock. You can't try it on when you buy, just fold the sock surface and the sock bottom in half from the center line. Generally, the ratio of the sock surface to the sock heel is 2:3.
II) Inspection of the density and elasticity of the sock mouth: the sock mouth should have a high density, double the width of the sock, and have good resilience. Its small elasticity makes it difficult to reset when it is pulled horizontally, which is also one of the reasons that cause the socks to wear down.
III). Check whether the seam head interface is out of needle. Generally, sewing the head of socks is another process. If the stitches are removed from sewing, the mouth will be opened when worn. When selecting, look carefully from the seam head to see if the stitches are smoothly out of the stitches.
IV). Check for holes and broken wires. Because socks are knitwear, they have a certain degree of extensibility and elasticity. Generally, broken wires and small holes are not easy to find. According to the conditions of the process, it is easy to cause broken wires or holes when the sock is shaped and touched with other objects. Therefore, check the sock bottom and sock side of the sock when purchasing, and lightly pull it horizontally to check.

V). Check the length of socks. Because each pair of socks is optional, unequal length is likely to appear. Generally, each pair of first-class products should be no more than 0.5CM. (4) Identification of regular products and miscellaneous inferior products. The large-scale hosiery factory has advanced equipment, stable technology and good selection of raw materials. Through various procedures, the quality is stable. In appearance, the fabric is uniform in density, thick, pure color, well shaped and formed, and has a regular trademark. Miscellaneous inferior products are mostly due to simple equipment, manual operation, poor selection of raw materials, thin and uneven fabrics, low density, less color and luster, many defects, poor molding, and no formal trademarks.
